Financial Cryptography '00 Hotel Information

The recommended hotel is the Sonesta resort.  A group rate of $230 per room per night, single or double occupancy, has been arranged for conference attendees. To reserve a room, contact the hotel directly and mention that you will be attending FC00. You should call the Anguilla location rather than the corporate reservation number. The Sonesta is currently closed in the aftermath of Hurricane Lenny, but can be reached by phone during office hours.  Repairs are progressing more quickly than expected and the hotel will reopen on February 10 rather than March 1 as originally scheduled. Shuttle service between the Sonesta and the conference site will be provided.

For students and others seeking budget accommodations we recommend the Pavilion (about a 10-minute drive from the conference site), which offers decent accommodations at reasonable rates. Other low-budget options include Willies Inn (which is within walking distance of the InterIsland conference facility) and the InterIsland itself. Both offer very basic accommodations.

For other alternatives, consult the excellent online hotel guide on Bob Green's Anguilla News site, available here, which lists options in all price ranges. We have heard good reports about La Sirena, which is a little less expensive than the Sonesta.  For listings from The Anguilla Guide, click here.

We originally reserved the entire Mariners hotel for FC00 attendees, but this has fallen through due to difficulties the hotel is experiencing.  The General Manager has asked me to convey his apologies for this situation and any inconvenience it has caused.  There is a chance Mariners might reopen in time for the conference with about half of their units, so this may be an option for last-minute registrants.
