Airlines

From Europe, there are flights from London Gatwick (LGW) on British Airways to St. Kitts (SKB) with a stop in Antigua, and from Amsterdam (AMS) on KLM and Paris (CDG) on Air France with a connection in St. Martin. It's also possible to connect via islands around the Caribbean such as Antigua (ANU), Barbados (BGI), St. Martin (SXM), and Trinidad (POS), or via the USA, particularly Miami (MIA) with twice daily flights. From North America, possibilities include American via Miami, Charlotte (CLT), or JFK, Air Canada via Toronto (YYZ), Delta via Atlanta (ATL) or JFK, Jet Blue via JFK, and United via Newark (EWR).

Airport transfers

The conference hotel is near the airport. The agency we're working with for the conference excursion and activities, Sunlinc, also offers an airport transfer service and you can book directly with them, or just take a taxi. Taxis are not metered but operate at fixed rates that are posted at the airport.

Visas

Although most FC attendees will likely not need a visa, nationals of some countries do require a visa to travel to St. Kitts. All visitors should hold a passport that is valid at least six months beyond the date of departure, and most will need to present an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before departing for St. Kitts and upon arrival.

Practicalities

Although the island primarily uses type G and type D outlets that supply 220V at 60Hz, the power outlets at the conference hotel are of the "US" type (type A/B) and supply 110V at 60Hz.

The currency used in St. Kitts is the Eastern Caribbean dollar (XCD), which is pegged to the US dollar at a rate of 2.7 XCD/USD. US dollar notes (not coins) are widely accepted, but change will be given in EC dollars.

The weather in St. Kitts in March is typically warm, with an average temperature of 25.5 Celsius, highs around 29 Celsius, and lows around 22 Celsius.
